Built in Győr, Hungary, the Audi A3 sedan is the brand’s first compact saloon and the third model of the A3 family, complementing the 3-door A3 hatch and the 5-door A3 Sportback. Audi has high hopes for the A3 Sedan, the main competitor of which is the Mercedes-Benz CLA – coincidentally also built in Hungary, in Kecskemét.

To promote the freshly-launched (in Europe) sedan, the German carmaker has released a video showing a bright red A3 touring the beautiful streets of Hungary’s capital city Budapest.

The video obviously serves as a promotional tool showing some of the available features of the car, including the Audi Connect system that is available with Facebook and Twitter, MMI Touch Navigation, Bang & Olufsen audio system, leather steering wheel with gearshift paddles and sports seats upholstered with Nappa leather.

Finally, Audi also mentions the 1.8-liter TFSI gasoline engine, which is the engine to have in the A3 sedan – at least in my view. With 177hp (180PS) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft), this unit is both powerful and fuel-efficient. Audi says the A3 Sedan 1.8 TFSI averages 5.6 liters/100 km (42 US mpg), sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 235 km/h (146 mph).
