The all-new A3 Cabriolet will be unveiled online this Sunday, September 8, two days before its first public outing at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Audi announced today, without providing any additional information or pictures of the compact model.

If you’re curious to see what the A3 Cabriolet will look like, you can follow the jump and checkout the illustrations made by Carscoops’ own Josh Byrnes as well as a selection of spy pictures of the S3 performance variant that will sport a 2.0-liter tubo’d four-cylinder engine churning out 296hp (300PS) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of peak torque towards all-four wheels.

Two of the main highlights of the new generation A3 Cabriolet are that, unlike the outgoing model, it won’t be based on the hatchback but on the new A3 sedan, which will improve luggage space, and that for the first time, it will be offered for sale in North America.
