As it stands, the top offering of the BMW 1-Series range, is the M135i hatchback sporting a twin-turbocharged straight-six with a displacement of 3.0-liters and a maximum output of 316-horses (320PS). Germany aftermarket firm Tuningwerk took BMW’s hot hatch and upped the ante with a series of upgrades aimed at weekend track racers.
If you pop up the hood you’ll discover a modified version of the inline-six with changes to the turbochargers, an enlarged intercooler, a revised ECU and more. Depending on the configuration, Tuningwerk’s mods can push output anywhere from 355hp (360PS) to 444hp (450PS).
The tune continues with a lighter dual mass flywheel, an adjustable KW Clubsport suspension, race-spec brakes, and a new limited slip differential on the rear axle, with the car now riding on new 18-inch wheels wrapped in 245/40R18 Dunlop Direzza semi slicks up front and 265/35R18 at the back.
Inside, a pair of Recaro bucket seats and an available roll cage set the racing atmosphere.
Tuniwerk did not release any pricing information on the build.
