Hyundai has been particularly active at SEMA shows over the past few years, and it will continue on the same path for the 2013 edition of the world’s largest aftermarket event, which will take place in Las Vegas from November 5 to 8.
Today, the Koreans released initial details on their first concept car that will go on display at the SEMA Show, the Bisimoto 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe with a Bugatti Veyron-rivaling 1,000-horsepower engine.
Developed in partnership with Bisimoto Engineering, the project is based on the naturally-aspirated Genesis Coupe 3.8 R-Spec. The rebuilt 3.8-liter V6 unit gains a number of parts, most prominent of which is a twin-turbocharger system, allowing it to produce such a high output.
Along with the extensive work under the hood, Bisimoto created a custom Electric Blue paint, Denmatic design graphics package, ARK hood and Carbon Fiber decklid, with the Genesis Coupe also gaining a roll cage and 20-inch wheels on performance tires, among others.
