If you’re looking for a car that will make everybody blame you for global warming, wasting oil resources and overcrowding cities, look no further than the Mercedes G 63 AMG 6×6.
A German dealer has put up an online ad for one six-wheeled monster, which is priced at €476,952 (644,980), 19 percent VAT included. For reference, a four-wheel Mercedes G63 AMG is priced from €116,500 ($157,550) in Germany.
The dealer says the car only has 58 kilometers (36 miles) on the clock and is fitted with all available optional extras. Painted Designo Mystic White, the G 63 AMG 6×6 features Designo double tone leather inside, four electrically adjustable, heated and ventilated seats and many, many more options.
The images shown in the ad are not of the actual car, with the dealer using press photos to illustrate the G63 AMG 6×6. This may suggest the car hasn’t yet reached the dealer’s lot yet. When it will though, it may sell pretty quickly, as it is currently the only one on offer on Mobile.de.
As a quick reminder, the 5.87-meter (231 inches) long, 3.85-ton (7,700lbs) truck has a ground clearance of 460 mm (18.1 inches), more than double than the standard G 63 AMG. It has six driven wheels, an off-road low-range ratio in the transfer case, portal axles, no less than five differential locks that can be engaged on the move and a tire-pressure control system which inflates the huge six tires from a sand-friendly 0.5 bar to a tarmac-ready 1.8 bar in less than 20 seconds while the vehicle is running.
The G 63 AMG is powered by a 5.5-liter turbo V8 engine developing 544 horsepower and 760 Nm (560 lb-ft) of torque.
