Alfa Romeo will display the MiTo MY2014 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. There is little new information about the car compared to June, when Alfa Romeo first released talked about the MiTo MY2014, but the Italian carmaker has shown new pictures of the car.

The main change for the MiTo MY2014 takes place under the hood, where the new turbocharged 0.9-liter 2-cylinder TwinAir engine is available. Mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, the engine delivers 105 hp at 5,750 rpm and a peak torque of 120 Nm (88.5 lb-ft) at 1,750 rpm.

When the DNA selector is in Dynamic position, torque increases to 145 Nm (107 lb-ft) at 2,000 rpm. On the MiTo, the engine delivers an average fuel economy of 4.2 l/100 km (56 mpg US) and emits 99 g of CO2 per kilometer. Top speed is rated at 184 km/h (114 mph) and the 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint takes 11.4 seconds.

The engine range for the MiTo MY 2014 also includes two turbo diesel engines (the updated E5+ 86 HP 1.3 JTDM and the 120 HP 1.6 JTDM) and five petrol engines: the 70 HP 1.4, the 78 HP 1.4, the 135 HP 1.4 MultiAir Turbo (with manual or Alfa TCT automatic gearbox) and the 170 HP 1.4 MultiAir Turbo.

Styling tweaks are limited to the subtly redesigned grille that gets a chrome-plated frame, the burnished finishing of the front light clusters on all versions and the new Anthracite Grey body color. On the inside, updates include four fresh upholstery combinations, new dashboard customizing options and a multimedia system based on Uconnect with a 5-inch color touch screen that is available with an integrated TomTom navigation system.
