The extended version of the Fiat 500L that carries the “Living” moniker in the mainland Europe will become known as the 500L MPW (feel free to guess what that stands for) in the United Kingdom where it goes on sale this month priced from £15,795 OTR.
Available in both five-seat or optional 5+2-seat configurations with the latter two seats to be used for children or adults up to 1.65m (5.4 foot tall) in height, the MPW measures 4,352mm in length, 1784mm in width and 1,667mm in height, making it 210mm longer and 10mm taller than the regular 500L. In five-seat configuration, it has a boot capacity of 638 litres.
The engine range consists of four powerplants, including the 94hp (95PS) 1.4-litre (5-seat only) and the 104hp (105PS) 0.9 TwinAir petrols, and the 84hp (85PS) 1.3 MultiJet (also available with the Dualogic automatic transmission) and the 104hp (105PS) 1.6-litre MultiJet diesels.
There are two available trim grades, Pop Star and Lounge, with the former including air conditioning, cruise control, 16-inch alloy wheels, a 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Uconnect, six airbags, a full suite of stability and traction control safety systems as well as rear parking sensors as standard.
The higher specification Lounge models adds rear electric windows, front fog lights, dual-zone automatic climate control, automatic headlamps, rain sensors, front seats with seat back tables and storage nets, an electro-chromatic rear view mirror, rear privacy glass, floor mats and an electric glass sunroof.
