Just because Porsche announced the refreshed 2014 Panamera range back in April this year, doesn’t mean that the liftback model is immediately available in showrooms. In the U.S., that will happen in two stages, with most models going on sale late this year, and the Turbo editions to follow in 2014.
Visually, the 2014 Panamera sports a mildly revised front end with re-shaped headlights and bumper, plus a tweaked rear end with modified LED light clusters, tailgate and bumper.
The biggest changes in the range concern the presentation of a three new variants, namely Porsche’s first-ever series-production plug-in hybrid (PHEV), the 410hp (416PS) Panamera S E-Hybrid, and two longer-wheelbase Executive versions for the Panamera 4S and Panamera Turbo models. The latter come with a wheelbase extended by 5.9 inches for improved rear seat space, along with an enhanced list of standard features including an Adaptive air-suspension featuring Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM).
Pricing starts at $78,100 for the base 306hp (310PS) V6 model rising to $161,100 for the Turbo Executive, not including a $975 destination fee.
