If you’re looking for something a bit more discreet than the upcoming BMW M4 Coupe but faster than the 435i, Alpina is brewing up a new proposal that just might tickle your fancy.
Its name is the B4 Bi-Turbo and it’s the coupe sibling of the already available 335i sedan- and Touring-based B3 Bi-Turbo, with which it shares most of its components, including the modified and twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six that produces 404hp (410PS) and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of peak torque, up from the stock 435i’s 302hp (306PS) and 400Nm (295 lb-ft) respectively.
Alpina is keeping quiet about it, but there’s a possibility we could see the B4 B-Turbo being offered in both rear- and all-wheel drive configurations, just like the equivalent B3 Bi-Turbo sedan, which completes the 0-100km/h (62mph) sprint in 4.2 seconds (AWD in 4.0 sec) and tops out at 305km/h (190mph).
Like all other Alpina models, the B4 Bi-Turbo will gain a modified suspension setup together with a discreet aero package consisting of front and rear aprons, and a boot lid spoiler, plus wider wheels with bespoke rims, and a custom-trimmed interior.
