Following its new line of office accessories, Porsche shifts focus back on its most prized recent car – the 918 Spyder. After breaking the production car record at the Nurburgring, we’ve seen it, we know what it’s about and we’re deeply impressed by it thus far.
Now, Porsche has released a promo for the 918 that does a nice kind-of digital dissection of the car, using a very detailed 3D representation.
They peel away the polygons of the car’s body and all of the mechanical bits seem to be minutely recreated, and even if all of it is CGI, unlike this Jaguar promo that’s only about a quarter done on a computer, it has good graphics and looks fit for the upgrades screen of any self-respecting racing game.
It’s one of the better videos I’ve seen from Porsche recently, and it’s attached below, after the virtual jump.
