A third generation Corvette Sting Ray from 1976 is the latest project completed by Bulgarian studio Vilner. The local owner of the classic American muscle car ordered an interior and exterior makeover, as well as some performance upgrades.
Beginning with the latter, the C3’s 5.7-liter V8 was enhanced with an array of parts from Edelbrock Performance, including new head, shafts and two twin carburetors. While the car hasn’t been dyno-tested yet, Vilner expects the V8 to push out some 300-horsepower.
For the exterior, the Corvette was painted in a new pearl brown shade, while also receiving new LED tail lamps, LED daytime running lights, and LED turning indicators, along with a vintage suitcase made of camel leather that resides on the original chrome-plated boot rack.
Inside, Vilner re-did the entire interior in a combination of different leathers in beige and dark brown, accented with contrasting stitching (even the steering wheel stalks are dressed in stitched leather…). In addition, all wood veneer trims were replaced by inserts made of Corian material, while the design and lighting of the instrument panel gauges are also new.
