After Peugeot announced that a production version of the 308 R concept that was on display at the Frankfurt motor show, was most likely going to become reality, the rendering by X-Tomi Design is very handy in showing us what that might look like.

Don’t think for a second that it will be very different to the show car, because it won’t – it will definitely lose the two-tone paintjob, though.

Power will come from the rapid 1.6-liter turbocharged engine that they’ve been able to extract 266 hp (270PS), the suspension will be lowered and the car will also get a body kit to differentiate it from lesser models, including a 200 hp GTi model that will probably be added to the range as a kind of warm stepping stone to the “R”.

However, I don’t think Peugeot will launch this 308 R in orange, so I took the liberty to change the color of the rendering to something resembling the red they showed it in; original rendering also available below.
