The new VW Golf Sportsvan can be ordered at German dealerships from today (December 19, 2013), with prices starting from €19,625 ($26,845).

The successor to the Golf Plus will be available at launch with six engines (four TSIs and two TDIs) ranging from 85PS (84hp) to 150PS (148hp). All units are Euro 6-compliant and come fitted as standard with a start-stop system.

However, the Golf Sportsvan’s big asset is interior space and practicality, with the car featuring a three-seat rear bench that can be folded down separately and slidea up to 180mm (7in) in a longitudinal direction. With the rear bench folded down and loaded up to the roof, maximum cargo capacity is 1,500 liters (53 cubic feet).

Standard equipment includes air conditioning, seven airbags, 5-inch touchscreen, variable cargo floor, multi collision brake, XDS+ electronic differential lock and electronic parking brake with auto-hold function.
