What do we have here? Well, you’re looking at an independent study for a new generation Nissan GT-R from Hungarian designer X-Tomi, who evidently took inspiration from the Japanese carmaker’s latest concept, the aptly named Sports Sedan from this month’s Detroit Show, and crafted the following renders.

There is much to love and little to hate about the current Nissan GT-R. Personally, and while hate is too strong of a word to use here, there are two aspects of the Japanese sports coupe that I never liked, the first being the R35’s design (inside and out) and the second, Nissan’s pricing strategy in the years that followed its introduction.

I somehow doubt that the latter will change in the future, but perhaps the former could make a turn for the better with the second generation model (excluding the Skyline GT-R variants) that is rumored for a debut within the next couple of years, especially since Nissan has shown signs of improvement in this area as of late.

The rendered proposal pictured here is one way to go, and with some tinkering and tweaking here and there (mainly in the rear end, if you ask me), it could turn out into a sweet looking replacement for the otherwise capable GT-R.

Do take a closer look below and voice your thoughts in the comments.
