In the last days of 2013, the ordering guide for the BMW i3 was posted online allowing us to see how much the Bavarian carmaker charges for options.
As we learned in the summer, the i3 starts at $41,350 for the pure-electric model and $45,200 for the range extender (REX) plus destination and handling (another $925). Both variants will be subject to the same $7,500 federal rebate, though, so the price will drop significantly.
Naturally, this being a true BMW, you will be able to make it sensibly more expensive once you start piling on the gadgets and options which is what you can play around with via the ordering guide photos posted in the gallery below.
For most buyers, it will be a question of whether or not they need the extra range provided by the 600cc motorcycle engine or not; the optional wood trim also looks quite cool and is entirely fashioned out of eucalyptus that looks like it’s naturally curved.
So, if you’re in the market for an i3 but aren’t yet sure which options to get, scroll down and get a more detailed view of the gadgets and worlds (trim packs) on offer.
