It only took Subaru a couple of months after displaying the Legacy Concept at the 2013 LA Auto Show in late November to tease and announce the world premiere of the production version of the mid-size sedan that will officially break cover at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show on February 6.
As you may suspect, the Japanese automaker didn’t reveal much about the car, but if you insist on reading the press blurb, here it is:
“The all-new Legacy is a mid-size sports sedan which offers enhanced driveability and functionality while achieving a design required for a flagship model with a quality feel. Its styling fused with functionality such as roominess and visibility embodies the design direction proposed by the “Legacy Concept” at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show.”
From the single darkened picture offered by Subaru, we see that the 2015 Legacy appears to be somewhat closer to the concept in design than other studies have in the past, with the production car gaining a taller (and more practical) roof- and profile window-lines, and a less stubby front end.
We’ll see if we can find out more and pass on the news to you when we do.
