Lexus’ first ever attempt to create a two-door rival to the BMW M4, formerly known as the M3, is the RC F, the first photos of which surfaced online today courtesy of Road&Track magazine.

While the publication reports that it doesn’t know details about the car’s powertrain, a previously leaked invitation from Lexus for the Detroit auto show revealed that the RC F will sport a new V8 engine producing 460 horsepower, up from the outgoing IS F four-door sedan’s 416 horsepower.

From the press shots, we see that Lexus grafted more aggressive details to the body of the RC Coupe, including blistered wheel arches, new bumpers with the front sporting extra air intakes and the rear a diffuser incorporating stacked tailpipes.
