After more than two decades of absence, the Nissan Micra small hatchback will be offered once again for sale in Canada, the Japanese automaker announced.
The latest version of the low-cost subcompact is the same as the one sold in Europe and other regions around the world, and will be formally introduced to Canadian consumers at the upcoming Montreal Auto Show on January 16
“After 21 years, the Nissan Micra is returning to Canada to change the automotive landscape,” said Christian Meunier, President, Nissan Canada. “[The] Micra will provide Canadians with the unbeatable value, Japanese quality, European bold styling and fun driving experience that they deserve in a small car.”
Nissan did not provide any other details on the Canadian market Micra, so we don’t know if it will be available with the brand’s smaller displacement three-cylinder units or the bigger 1.6-liter engine offered on the related Versa sedan.
