One often gets the impression with many mainstream car reviewers that even when they do find faults with whatever it is that they are testing, they most overly-sugarcoat the defects so that they sound nice, friendly, not being deal-breakers at all. Diplomacy is nice and all, but it has no place in the world of reviewing consumer goods, and especially complex, intricate ones like cars.
That’s why this latest review uploaded by Regular Cars is another breath of fresh air. Sure there’s some profanity thrown in, but it’s not of the distasteful kind, and the point this guy makes goes far beyond the level most shallow reviews reach.
I mean what’s said in the video posted after the virtual jump really sounds like a great sum-up of the Hyundai Veloster’s pluses and minuses sans the usual obligatory hard, sweet coating that is really bad for one’s… teeth.
