Our spies were caught by surprise in Germany when they spotted a heavily camouflaged LCV (Light Commercial Vehicle) coming out of one of Hyundai’s local facilities and followed it around.
The large van with the extended roof height appears to be a competitor for similar versions of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and the related VW Crafter, as well as a number of other models including Renault Master, Opel Movano, Nissan NV400, Ford Transit, Fiat Ducato, Citroën Jumper, Peugeot Boxer and Iveco Daily.
While information remains scarce at this point, Hyundai will most likely follow the example of the competition offering the upcoming van in several different lengths, heights and body style configurations, such as a pickup truck and a minibus.
We’ll update you as soon as we find out more about the Korean company’s new van series.
