In a dim and b(l)eak-looking world, where there are almost no more horses left and people pass the time by betting on galloping robotic reconstructions of the now-almost-extinct animal, Acura trots onto the scene in flesh and blood form, being victorious in the end.

That’s the nutshell-version of the plotline for Acura’s latest promo, envisioned to put them in a cool, dark and mysterious light that will change the staid perception of their brand. However, while it’s better than some recent ads of the same vein, to me it doesn’t seem right for the kind of cars it wants to sell, or the people it wants to woo.

The video posted below features three of their latest models: the RLX Sport Hybrid, nice-looking TLX Prototype and the now-familiar but still eagerly-anticipated NSX Concept. These are the new Acura brand ambassadors, the modes which preview the direction the brand is going into in the foreseeable future.
