If we’re to believe a recent report from Italy, the updated Quadrifoglio Verde versions of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta and MiTo won’t be the only new models on display at the Italian carmaker’s Geneva Motor Show stand. According to the 0-100 website, Alfa Romeo’s main attraction will be the 4C Spider in concept car form.

Previewing a 4C Spider production model, the study is said to feature a carbon fiber roll bar, new alloy wheels and a different design for the headlights.

Furthermore, the production version of the car is said to adopt a targa-type removable roof, judging from the latest 4C prototypes seen testing. However, the 4C Spider concept car may not feature the targa roof.

As for the bug-eyed light (probably the most controversial element of the 4C’s design), the folks from 0-100 say they will be redesigned, getting a plexiglass cover similar to the 4C Concept.

While we’re hoping this report is accurate, we won’t know that for sure until Alfa Romeo lifts the veils off its full lineup for the Geneva Motor Show.
