The bulbous-looking 2-Series Active Tourer (or AT for short) is arguably the biggest departure ever to wear a propeller badge since the Issetta bubble car of the 1950s. However, that won’t stop BMW from spicing its overtly minivan-ish stance up with the usual swathe of M-branded bits.
The M Sport package version of the 2-Series AT is slated to arrive in showrooms starting November, being the last of the trim levels to be released.
Bimmertoday created the three (low-res) photos you see below, and on first impression, speculating what the car would look like with all the trinkets bolted on; the 2-Series AT is not seen as a cool car. However, with the sportier makeover in place, it definitely looks like a more purposeful and aggressive way to carry five people with tall hats.
Add all-wheel drive into the mix and predictably good fwd handling, and there could be something here.
