As if the forest of skyscrapers in the desert wasn’t kitschy enough in Dubai, you also have to accept the fact that even the police there is more interested in looking flashy and burning through cash than catching the perps.

After having seen all manner of fast sports cars, supercars and even a Mercedes G-Wagen-based Brabus B63S-700 (yes, it stands for its horsepower figure) converted into cop cars, they had one last model in the world left to corrupt: a Bugatti Veyron.

Now, as you can see in the official video posted below, they have one all wrapped up in green Dubai police markings on a white base (wrap). It looks nice and all, with a distinct Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit vibe about it, but it’s just so pointless and silly that I for one can’t see it in any kind of positive light.

I may be branded a hater, but a Veyron cop car is just plain dumb and completely useless and ultimately uncalled-for in the face of what’s to come
