German premium carmakers seem to have found a niche in Japan with special edition models. This time, it’s Mercedes-Benz that has announced three new models, including the E250 Coupe Limited, the A250 Sport Edition Night and the A45 AMG Petronas.
The four-cylinder E250 Coupe Limited carries a base sticker price of 7.12 million yen (US$69,700) and will be offered in 100 units, 80 of which are finished in Polar White on the outside, with black and red colors inside, and 20 in Fire Opal Red on the outside, and a combination of dark beige and black leather in the cabin. Both models also feature bespoke interior trims and added standard features.
Next up is the A250 Sport Edition Night finished in a black exterior shade with gloss black and red accents making their appearance both inside and out. Other features include the sport seats in black leather and Alcantara.
Those looking for an A-Class with a much bigger punch can opt for the 360PS A45 AMG Petronas edition that was previewed at the Tokyo Auto Salon earlier this year. Only 30 examples will be made, each priced at 9.7 million yen (US$94,900). Besides the extra aerodynamic components, the fast hatch sports a white body with mint green graphics and accents. You’ll find the same shade of green in the cabin as well.
