In an alleged leak of the document-type, said to be sourced from Audi of America and uncovered by Jalopnik readers, the upcoming 2015 Audi S3 performance sedan is listed with a starting price of $41,000, not including the delivery and handling fee that should be the same as the other A3s at $895.

That’s just over $11,000 more than the entry-level A3 saloon, which on this side of the world, sports a 170hp 1.8-liter turbo driving the front wheels.

The pricing guide mentions two grades for the S3, the base Premium and the Premium Plus, with the latter carrying an MSRP of $47,000, again without destination-related charges.

In European spec, at least, the S3’s 2.0-liter turbocharged four is rated for 296hp (300PS) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque, with the all-wheel drive hatch completing the standard sprint to 100km’h (62mph) in 5.3 seconds with the 6-speed stickshift, and 4.9 seconds when fitted with the dual clutch S tronic.

For those of you keeping track of the competition, Mercedes’ 355hp (360PS) CLA 45 AMG starts at $47,450.

Sales of the S3 sedan in the U.S. are scheduled to begin closer to summer.
