Following the reveal of the Figo Sedan Concept in India, Ford has revealed a similar study in Brazil, called the Ka Concept 4-door. The two studies are essentially the same car, but differ in length and some other details.

Developed Ford’s Product Development Center in Camaçari, Brazil, the concept car adds to the 5-door model revealed at the end of 2013 in Brazil and Europe.

The main difference between the Ka Sedan and the Figo Sedan is the length: the India-bound car is a bit shorter so it can be part of the sub-4m (157.4in) class, per local regulations. As a consequence, the Ka Concept 4-door has a bigger boot than the Figo Sedan, not to mention that it looks much better too, in my opinion.

The interior features added storage spots and the MyFord Dock technology, which allows passengers to use, store and recharge devices, such as cellphones and MP3 players, while integrating them with the vehicle’s connectivity system.

Ford says the compact car segment accounts for 60 percent of the Brazilian automobile market, with compact four-door vehicles alone representing 20 percent of the entire market.

A production Ford Ka sedan is expected to arrive soon with little to no modifications compared to the study.
