For me, last week’s Top Gear episode was one of the worst I’ve seen in recent memory. It showed little creativity and thought, being a rehash of every other challenge the trio had previously undertaken.

That’s why yesterday’s episode was mind-blowing in comparison; don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t one of their best, not by a long shot, but it did show the McLaren P1 at the hands of Jeremy Clarkson and the Alfa Romeo 4C driven by Richard Hammond.

James May’s piece was interesting too, though a bit too obvious as positive publicity to whitewash the lately tarnished image of the armed offensive in Iraq.

What he’s basically saying is that the British forces went into battle there ill-prepared, in lightly- or non-armored Land Rovers, and came out with around 3,500 new vehicles that they need to transport back home; they must be planning something big in advance, in some other part of the world where they will severely outgun their foes, especially now with the new metal.

Overall, a much more enjoyable episode than last week’s pile of old… hatchbacks.
