As usual, when Subaru launches a new model, the automaker’s U.S. subsidiary follows up with a video offering us a tour of their car. This time, we have a clip about the new Legacy, which is explained by Dominic Infante, Subaru of America National Manager Product Communications.
According to Infante, the new Legacy has a 59 percent stiffer chassis, which together with new suspension settings, results in a better ride and handling – a more refined drive overall. Since we’re talking about a Subaru, this is good news, as long as the ratio between comfort and handling is not altered to the detriment of the latter.
While I agree with opinions that Subaru played it too safe with the design of the new Legacy, I can’t help but notice that the new model looks much better than the previous generation. Sure, it lacks that certain “je ne sais quoi” as the French say, but at least it’s modern-looking and well-proportioned.
