Welcome to our visual tour of the 106th edition of what is one of the oldest motoring gatherings in the United States, the Chicago Auto Show, which we covered for the better part of last week.

The event organizers mention that the McCormick Place in downtown Chicago hosts close to 1,000 different vehicles along with “hundreds of interactive, aftermarket, accessories and auto-related exhibits, competition vehicles, antique and collector cars”.

While those numbers might sound impressive and will surely keep most on-site visitors interested and engaged, from a news perspective, it was less exciting as there were fewer than half a dozen noteworthy premieres, highlighted, of course, by the all-new 2015 Subaru Legacy, and to a (much) lesser extent, the Kia Soul EV.

If you have plans to visit the show over the next week (it will remain open until February 17), or if you just want to see what you’re missing out on (or not), you can get a quick taste of what’s on display in the gallery below.
