Parent company VW Group is upping the ante for its Skoda brand with the world premiere of a new concept model named VisionC at the 2014 Geneva International Motor Show in the beginning of March.
Skoda states that the VisionC is a study for a “dynamic and elegant five-door coupé” that “shows the possibility of innovative body concepts” in the brand’s future.
We only have this sketch to go by, so we don’t know yet if it’s a compact or mid-size model, but whatever the size, it’s almost certainly built around VW’s MQB platform and powertrain components.
The picture shows a car with a low and sleek looking roofline, a sharp profile and raked windshield, but unlike the VW CC, for example, it replaces the conventional boot for a liftback solution – you could say this is Skoda’s poor man’s A5 Sportback…
We’ll have more on the VisionC closer to the Geneva motor show.
