The 2014 Honda Civic Si Coupe went on sale in the States today (March 12) with a base MSRP of $22,790, not including a $790 destination charge. Compared with the base 2013 Civic Si Coupe, the newer model is priced $275 higher.

As you probably already know by now, the 2014 model gets a restyled exterior, more power, a retuned suspension, upgraded interior and new equipment. The 2.4-liter i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine gets 205 hp (+4hp) and 174 lb-ft (236Nm) of torque compared to the 2013 model, with the gains being due to a retuned exhaust system.

The engine is mated to a close-ratio, six-speed manual transmission, while the suspension features higher rate springs, new dampers and a stiffer rear stabilizer bar.

The 2014 Honda Civic Si Coupe rides on larger 18-inch wheels and features a more aggressive hood, front fenders and headlight designs, as well as new taillight lenses and side mirrors. The car also features a Si-exclusive grille, lower front-bumper garnish, rear air diffuser and a large wing spoiler.

On the inside, the Civic Si Coupe gets Si-exclusive seat fabric and trim with a black and red color scheme, while the audio panel gets a racy carbon fiber-style design. Equipment-wise, the 2014 Si Coupe comes with a standard 7-inch Display Audio touchscreen with next-generation HondaLink, Smart Entry with Push Button start, expanded view driver’s mirror and Honda LaneWatch display for enhanced driver visibility.

The similarly equipped 2014 Civic Si Sedan goes on sale on March 26 with an MSRP starting at $22,990, excluding the $790 destination charge.
