BMW Group specialist AC Schnitzer will be one of many tuners hosting a world premiere at the 84th Geneva International Motor Show this week. The main course concerns their tune for the third generation BMW X5, codenamed F15, launched onto the market last year.
The Aachen-based modifier has prepared six performance tunes for the X5, highlighted by the engine upgrades for the M50d diesel that shoots out 430PS (424hp), up from the standard 381PS (376hp), and for the 50i V8 turbocharged petrol producing 525PS (518hp), up from 450PS (444hp). Details on the other packages are to be announced during the Swiss event.
To improve contact with the road, there’s an AC Schnitzer sports suspension spring kit that lowers the body by 30 mm (front) and 20 mm (rear), and a choice of 20-, 21- and 22-inch wheels available in different styles and colors.
AC Schnitzer’s dress up kit includes front skirt and rear aprons, an integrated rear diffuser and different tail pipe finishers for the outside, and aluminum pedals and foot rest, together with a key-holder and foot mats for the cabin.
