If you were curious to see what BMW’s M Performance goodies look on a Melbourne Red Metallic-colored 335i Sedan, here are some pictures of a fully-loaded sample that’s on display at the German carmaker’s Abu Dhabi dealership.
Judging by the lack of sport seats inside and the window chrome surround on the outside, I’d say this example was likely built on the base (non-M Sport) version of the 335i.
Among other features, it gains M bumpers on both ends, 20-inch rims on low profile wheels, a grounds effect kit, boot lid spoiler, black stripes, sports exhaust, plus carbon fiber and Alcantara trims, and a flat bottom Alcantara steering wheel inside.
The problem is that, by buying a 335i sedan and placing a tick on most available option boxes on BMW’s M Performance catalogue, you might get too close to an M3 price-wise, as in Germany, the new M3 costs €71,500 and the 335i €44,200, while in the States, the M3 will start at $62,000 and the 335i begins from $43,400.
For example, the carbon fiber mirror caps cost $325 in the US, while the wheels alone, will probably set you back $5k or more – and note, that any prices you see on BMW‘s sites, exclude taxes and installation.
