The Citroën DS3 Dark Rose is the latest special edition model of the DS sub-brand’s smallest model. Built in a limited edition of 350 units, the DS3 Dark Rose will be available for both the DS3 hatch and DS3 Cabrio.
The car features two-tone Perla Nera black and Shark grey body paint combined with a fuchsia pink roof and wing mirror housings – the Cabrio model gets a black canvas roof. Other customized touches include a gradated pink effect on the front and rear wings, side moldings with DS graphics featuring a Dark Rose logo, and a fuchsia “3” in the DS3 emblem on the tailgate.
On the inside, the limited-edition DS3 features Dark Rose logos on the steering wheel and door sills, pink-surrounded DS logo on the center console and fuchsia overstitching on the Nappa leather headrests. The DS3 Dark Rose starts from €20,259 ($28,210) in France (including VAT).
Citroën says the advertising film for the DS3 Dark Rose will feature Alfred Hitchcock, the “face” of the brand’s DS3 Série Noire campaign in 2011. The commercial will reprise the opening sequence of the famous Alfred Hitchcock Presents TV show that ran from 1955 to 1965 in the USA, with the legendary film director talking and singing about the “vie en rose” inspired by the DS3 Dark Rose limited edition.
