Adulthood has taught most of us that being interested in something and being able to afford it, are two very different things, but at least premium carmakers keep our pipe-dreams alive and entertain us in a twisted way with online configurators – and in the case of the new McLaren 650S, smart phone and tablet apps as well.
McLaren’s new dedicated configurator for the 12C-replacing (deep down inside, we all know that’s what it is) supercar might be able to draw your attention for a few minutes as you change colors and add carbon bits to the exterior, but at least the online version we tried out, lacks some features such a 360-degree spin and more views of the interior.
We haven’t had the chance yet to test the app for Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android operating systems (according to the British firm, it’s “available for download in both the Apple and Android App Stores by searching for ‘McLaren 650S’”), but if you do, feel free to share your experience.
