If you are a hobbyist really into his models, then you might have heard of Tamiya, a Japanese company that makes all manner of scaled down vehicles and sells them around the world. These vary in complexity, but the Scania R620 Highline truck you see in the videos below is one of their top models, in terms of intricacy and attention to detail.

Of course, you could build your own without their kits, and build it bigger, but the difficulty of completion shoots up dramatically, since you also have to do fabrication, not just assembly.

Still, the Scania featured has a lot to offer, even if it’s only 1:14 scale: fully-working lights (including side repeaters, reversing lights), three-speed transmission, metal leaf suspension, tilting cabin and a sound board.

Obviously, the fun with these is to make them your own, so once you’ve ordered the kit either from eBay, where there are a few on offer (for around $350 or €250), or from one of the officially endorsed stores from around the world.
