Land Rover has announced that the Freelander will be available with two new specifications, the HSE Luxury and the XS. The former is available for the first time globally on the Freelander 2, although it will be badged “Metropolis” in UK and Russia.
The HSE Luxury specification offers a series of exterior and interior upgrades, including body-colored sills, door handles and mirror caps and bright Atlas-coloured finish to the grille and vents. Other exterior features include 19-inch Sparkle Silver wheels and a metal ingot-style HSE Luxury badge on the rear.
On the inside, the HSE Luxury brings 8/6-way adjustable Windsor leather electric seats, as well as Grand Black lacquer finish to the door pulls, steering wheel and interior finisher.
The XS Specification also consists of exterior and interior updates. On the outside, the Land Rover Freelander 2 XS Specification gains new Dark Atlas grille bars and side vents, as well as 17-inch Anthracite alloy wheels. Other additions are the front fog lamps, body-colored sills, door handles and mirror caps.
The cabin includes Partial Leather with Dinamica seats that feature electric, 6/4-way adjustment, front and rear armrests and power lumbar support for the driver. The seats are available in Ebony/Lunar and Almond/Nutmeg colors and are paired with the premium door trim.
The XS model is available with a new “upgrade pack” which features a 380W Meridian audio system with 11 speakers, Bluetooth phone connection, navigation system, rain sensing windscreen wipers, automatic headlamps, automatic climate control and illuminated vanity mirrors.
Both the HSE Luxury and XS specifications are available with a new Dynamic Exterior Pack that makes the Freelander 2 look sportier thanks to design features including a roof spoiler, bright exhaust tailpipe finishers, as well as gloss black finish to the grille, side vents, and bonnet & tailgate scripts. 19-inch gloss black 10-spoke alloy wheels round complete the exterior updates.
