EVO’s Jethro Bovingdon does make an obvious, but ultimately, true point when he begins the preliminary Euro review for the Chevy Corvette C7 Stingray, the new American sports car that has been having a field day impressing the Stateside motoring press.

He explains the point with a view similar to the generally accepted Euro consensus that while the old C6 was not a bad car to drive, you would not have chosen it over any of its Old Continent rivals for any other reason aside from cost.

This new one, though, seems to be much more adept at handling twisties, it has a punchier engine, it looks less like a desperately restyled 1990s car and it finally has an interior that you can show to people who don’t care about horsepower/dollar ratios…

Obviously, a few faults are picked, but nothing major is pointed out overall, so the C7 is definitely made to sound much better than the C6 it replaces.
