Nissan Tests GT-R Nismo with N-Attack Package on Fuji Speedway [w/Video]

After setting a production car lap record on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, the Nissan GT-R Nismo N-Attack Package was tested on Japan’s Fuji Speedway in early March, as the performance kit will soon be available for purchase.

Since the time attack lap at the Nürburgring circuit in September 2013, Nissan engineers have been developing parts used in setting that record in a GT-R Nismo for public sale. The carmaker tested the package at Fuji Speedway to make some final checks and acquire more drive data.

Tests revealed that the car is just as fast on the Fuji Speedway, thanks to the N-Attack Package’s Öhlins 4-way adjustable dampers that can be fine-tuned in order to suit the characteristics of any track. The performance kit also includes additional aerodynamic parts compared to the standard GT-R Nismo, which Nissan says are really effective on high-speed corners.

The N-Attack Package brings extensive modifications focusing on three key aspects: aerodynamics, reduction of overall body weight and suspension tuning. The pack also brings engine and powertrain modifications including dedicated intercooler piping (carbon and aluminum), front limited-slip differential, rear limited-slip differential (carbon plate), dedicated Engine Control Management and Traction Control Management, as well as an optional Titanium exhaust.

Exterior modifications include dedicated carbon front fenders (with flick), carbon hood gurney, front add-on spoiler and rear wing (with two-point height adjustment mechanism, 12-point angle regulating mechanism). On the inside, the N-Attack Package brings dedicated Recaro full bucket seats with carbon shell, rear seat finisher and dedicated carbon rear bulkhead.

Besides the Öhlins dampers, suspension modifications also include dedicated stabilizers, with dedicated front brake pads also being part of the package. Pricing information will be offered when the kit launches this summer.
