On the occasion of the new Peugeot 108’s world debut at the Geneva Motor Show, the carmaker has released a new set of photos that reveal the interior of the city car for the first time.

The new interior looks a little bit more upmarket than its predecessor, the 107, but it still has metal exposed on the door panels. The dashboard is clean and simple, with the center console dominated by a 7-inch touchscreen. A new steering wheel and instrument panel complete the interior changes.

Depending on trim level, standard equipment includes a reversing camera, starter button coupled with Keyless Entry and Starting, automatic air conditioning, heated electric mirrors and automatic lighting, among others. The 108 is available with the Mirror Screen infotainment system.

The Peugeot 108 can be had as a three- or five-door hatchback, or as a soft-top convertible – the 108 TOP! version. Customers can choose from eight body colors, two of which are exclusive to the model, three fabric roof colors on 108 TOP!, a couple of two-tone color schemes on the 3-door hatchback, as well as seven personalization et ambiance themes.

Boot volume is 196 liters (6.9 cu-ft), but it extends to 750 liters (26.5 cu-ft) with the rear seats folded flat.

The city car will be available with two 3-cylinder engines, a Toyota-sourced 1.0-liter unit with 68 hp and a 1.2-liter with 82 hp. Sales of the new Peugeot 108 will begin in summer 2014.
