It was barely a month ago that Chrysler was forced to recall its new Fiat Ducato-based Ram Promaster commercial vehicle, after it was discovered that some 10,000 of them had sticky throttle pedals.
Now, they are forced to do it again, this time for slightly fewer vehicles (6,800) whose brake lines could fail due to the use of an improper wrench during their installation.
Apparently, said wrench damages the piping, making it much more prone to a complete failure.
Thankfully, around half of all affected vehicles have yet to be delivered to owners, and these will all be checked before they are picked up; the other half will be called in and benefit from a free inspection to check for the possible fault, followed by the fitting of replacement parts, if needed.
No related injuries have been reported so far.
