As we stand, Porsche currently offers two gasoline models of its new Macan SUV in North America, the base “S” with a 335hp (340PS) 3.0 liter V6 twin turbo unit, and the “Turbo” featuring 395hp (400PS) 3.6-liter twin-turbo’d V6, while other regions, including Europe, also get a 255hp (258PS) 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel.

It’s pretty obvious that Porsche will gradually add more versions to the range of its newly launched ‘baby’ Cayenne, with the following renders from Virtuel-Car speculating on the looks of a GTS model that would slot between the “S” and the “Turbo”.

The design inspiration comes from Porsche’s other GTS editions based on the Cayenne and Panamera (911, Cayman and Boxster GTS models are currently in the works as well).

If Porsche were to create a Macan GTS, it would likely gain around 15 to 20hp more than the S, along with sports-orientated chassis and styling updates inside and out.
