True, a driver’s life doesn’t always revolve around straight lines, but when it does, horsepower is usually king, and when you have plenty of ponies running under your hood, it can result in some mouth-opening surprises.
It’s not mentioned where this video showing a “Turbo GMC Sierra” racing against a “Tuned Ferrari 458 Italia” was filmed, and the only thing we learn is that the drivers allegedly went from 30mph to over 150mph (~48km/h to 241+km/h).
To get a rough idea of the acceleration speeds involved here, the factory 458 Italia with its 562hp (570PS) V8 has a manufacturer-quoted 0-100km/h (62mph) time of just 3.4 seconds and if you continue to press ahead, it can reach a top speed of 202 mph (325 km/h).
