It’s not a copy-paste effort per se, but we can’t help but notice some similarities in the design between Zotye’s T600 and VW’s Tiguan, especially up front. Zotye, a Chinese automaker that was formed less than a decade ago in 2005, showed the latest addition to its range of T600 models at the Beijing Auto Show.
The T600 was originally launched in December of 2013 with a 148hp (150PS) 1.5-liter turbocharged inline four connected to a 5-speed manual, but in Beijing, Zotye presented the range-topping 2.0T model.
The new 2.0-liter turbocharged unit is rated at 175hp (177PS) and 250Nm (184 lb-ft) of peak torque and can be paired to either a five-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed dual-clutch automated transmission.
Zotye didn’t provide any further details on the new model.
