Like the Volkswagen Beetle in Germany, the Citroën 2CV and the Renault 4 are the cars responsible for putting France on wheels after World War 2. While that is a remarkable feat, I must admit I was surprised to learn that Chris Harris bought himself a Citroën 2CV.

For a man who previously owned a Ferrari 599 GTB and who powerslides Ferraris and other powerful sports cars for a living, the 2CV is quite an intriguing choice.

So why did he choose to spend his money on a humble 1957 Citroën 2CV with only 12hp from a 425cc air-cooled flat-twin engine? Well, for a start, he says it is the best and the most interesting car he will ever own.

Paradoxically, according to Harris, you are never bored in a 2CV because it is the slowest car on the road. If that doesn’t make much sense to you, maybe watching the video will help.
