It’s always good to hear automakers standing by their products and offering increasingly longer warranties. On Thursday, Ferrari announced a new warranty scheme, divided into two programs.
The first one is the new “Power Warranty” that extends the existing level of factory-backed cover up to the 12th year of the vehicle’s life from first registration, while the second one allows owners to extend the all-inclusive factory-backed warranty by up to one year for a total of five years of cover.
According to the Italian automaker, “renewable annually, the New Power Warranty can, subsequent to technical verifications, be applied to cars that have not been covered by previous warranty extensions provided by Ferrari.”
For clients renewing the New Power warranty, Ferrari has also launched two special offers, including a “15 per cent renewal incentive year-on-year” and “an additional 15 per cent incentive if no warranty work was carried out the previous year”.
Ferrari’s press release does not mention prices nor does it go into the all-important details (the so-called fine print) on what’s covered and not in each program – you’ve been warned…
