If you live in Europe and think that PSA Peugeot-Citroen and partner Toyota should come up with a sportier solution for their new co-developed trio of city cars, the Peugeot 108, Citroen C1 and Toyota Aygo, please raise your hands. We can’t actually see if you performed the action, but we guess that it’s a reasonable request.
We’ve already seen a rendered proposal for a Peugeot 108 GTI and now, Khalil Bouguerra from Virtuel-Car has dressed up a Citroen C1 and stabbed the ‘Racing’ moniker on its chest.
To be frank, it wasn’t that difficult to imagine a hotter model, as Citroen itself gave us a conceptual look through the sporty-flavored “Swiss&Me” study in Geneva, which provided the base for this Photoshop that alters the colors and adds more conventional twin-pipes at the rear, while keeping the flared fenders, wheels and spoiler kit.
As for power, the French group has already announced two more turbocharged versions of the 1.2-liter PureTech gasoline unit that deliver 110PS (108hp) and 130PS (128hp), up from the stock unit’s 82PS (81hp). The more potent mill shouldn’t have a problem giving the C1 a proper boost on the road.
