Official photos from deliberate angles often only bring out the best in cars, and one has to wait for something other than the official batch of shots in order to gauge its looks accurately before seeing it in real life.
That’s why all the Mercedes-Benz S Coupe videos we’ve posted have helped us arrive closer to a conclusion on its looks.
From what we’ve seen so far, the car looks better in lighter colors, as its subtle shapes are emphasized and more visible that way. The black S63 you see in the video below looks like a bit of a blob from certain angles, though it may just be the footage quality playing tricks…
If you look at it from the side, you really struggle to see where each line goes and without concentrating on any particular detail, its perpendicular profile is arguably not as sexy as that of the CL.
