Lexus will unveil the production version of its LF-NX crossover concept at the Beijing Auto Show later this month. The road-going version of the futuristic study will remain close to the original design, as Lexus’ first teaser photo suggests.
Lexus’ first compact crossover retains the big spindle grille, boomerang-shaped LED daytime running lights and sharp headlights, as well as the bulged wheel arches and side creases. However, all these elements appear to be toned down compared to the wild-looking LF-NX study.
The Lexus NX will sit below the RX in Lexus’ lineup and is expected to be available with the all-new 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine, which was showcased on the latest iteration of the LF-NX concept. The unit is the brand’s first-ever turbocharged powerplant.
Besides the NX, Lexus’ booth at the Beijing Auto Show will also include the RC F performance coupe.
